Now, technically there are other ways to accomplish these things such as Magic Mobile and your Key to the World card, but here are my top 3 reasons why Magic Bands are better!
They are wearable
Unlike the Magic Mobile option through your phone or physical Key to the World card, you wear a MagicBand on your wrist! They make being hands free super easy. Plus, as a bonus, you can match colors with your outfits or support your favorite characters!
They make an awesome souvenir
For those who like a memento of their vacation, MagicBands are a relatively inexpensive option. Many times there are special bands that are released for new movies, festivals, and holidays.
They are reusable
For frequent Disney travellers, there is an advantage to having one reusable MagicBand versus dozens of disposable room key cards.
Disney Resort hotel guests can purchase MagicBands at a special, pre-arrival price via your My Disney Experience account. MagicBands are shipped as soon as you order them and the availability of styles may change at any time. They arrive in a plain white box so they will not ruin any surprises! If you miss your selection window, MagicBands can be purchased on-site - at the Disney Resort or Parks shops too.
